Executive Producer & Director 

Josiane Laure Modjom (a.k.a Malia Indigo) passionate advocate for diversity and inclusion, has made significant contributions to the Canadian fashion industry. Born with a vision and a determination to effect change, she turned her modeling career into an organization that carries her modeling name, Malia Indigo.

 She founded Malia Indigo Corporation in 2016 with the aim of providing visibility to fashion professionals working for the Plus Size segment and promoting diversity and inclusion in the industry. The organization has become a leading force in the industry, challenging traditional beauty standards and creating a platform for underrepresented voices. Through her work, she has not only empowered aspiring models but has also transformed the way the Canadian fashion industry perceives and represents beauty.

Josiane's efforts have been recognized and celebrated through numerous awards, highlighting her incredible work and the positive impact she has had on the industry. 

Aside from her contributions to the fashion industry, Josiane Laure Modjom is a highly skilled chartered accountant with over 15 years of experience. Her expertise extends to the field of IT consulting, where she excels in configuring accounting software. This unique combination of skills allows her to bring a comprehensive and strategic approach to her work, ensuring the success and sustainability of her organization.

As the executive producer and director, she is the brain behind the successful Toronto Plus Size Fashion Show. Through this event, she aims to elevate the Plus Size segment of the fashion industry to the highest standards, creating a space where all body types are celebrated.

SHAKIRA HARPER, 

Backstage Coordinator

Shakira Harper is an international plus size model and actress who is currently signed to Elite Models Canada. 

She is an unforgettable face of your favorite's talk shows such as Cityline, Marilyn Dennis and The Social. She is also an everyday face at Today’s Shopping Choice and models for numerous companies based in and out of Canada. 

Shakira has several commercials presently on air and a role on Netflix’s 2022 romance comedy, Wedding Season. She has worked as the lead female model along side Grammy award-winning artist such as Boyz II men and international dancehall superstar Beenie Man. Shakira has appeared on the pages of international publications such as Vogue Italia and was the first plus-size model to walk the runway at World Mastercard Fashion Week in Toronto. She has also worked with international brands such as Soft and Beautiful, MAC, Walmart, Reebok and Tommy Hillfiger. 

With over 25 years of experience and knowledge, Shakira is the Model Coach Lead at Malia Indigo Corporation facilitating fashion workshops since 2022.

Shakira  is the backstage coordinator for the Toronto Plus Size Fashion Show.

JENNIFER ISAAC

Network Coordinator 

 Jennifer Isaac is a dynamic full-time fashion influencer and content creator who possesses exceptional communication skills. Known for her warm and approachable nature, Jennifer's passion for fashion is matched by her genuine desire to empower full-figured women.

 As a Plus Size fashion content creator, Jennifer showcases how to embrace fashion trends and dress confidently as a full-figured woman. She collaborates with brands brands that share her vision of inclusivity and body positivity .

Jennifer is the  Network Coordinator for the upcoming Toronto Plus Size Fashion Show . She will takes on the responsibility of communicating with the audience and connecting people to the event. 

KAT LEONARD, 

Day Event Runner 

Kat Leonard’s passion for body confidence and happiness has led her to combine the forces of creativity and fun to promote healthy body image and self-confidence in others.  

Myselfie Show is Kat’s comedic approach to loving your body, an epic original musical comedy storytelling one-self show with a companion workshop promoting healthy body image and self-esteem. 

The Curve TV is a healthy deviation from the straight and narrow, promoting healthy lifestyle and body confidence, a television series that Kat created and hosted with Meghan Bradley of Curvy Expo. 

A Body Confidence Canada Award nominee, Kat was proud to host the previous Toronto Plus Size Fashion Show (TPSFS) and is pleased as punch to be involved again.

Kat is the main contact on September 02. She will overview and track all areas of the event.
