How to walk the Runway

A model can choose to go freelance and represent themself, however it is usually in the model’s best interest to get signed. This is because they are far more likely to get work through an agency. Through this workshop, learn what makes an excellent application and how to stand out to an agent, know how much you will earn as model, how to find and select the right agent for you, learn how to use social media to your advantage.
Our in-person workshops are held in downtown Toronto and give you the opportunity to network and connect with our experts and meet peers. There might be an opportunity to practice with designers and photographers.
This session will be facilitated by our model coach Shakira Harpers.

How to walk the Runway

Runway models have a very specific walk, and it is far trickier to perfect than you might think. A bad walk can lose you work and opportunities. Therefore, it is vital you master this skill early on if you want to succeed in fashion. This workshop will provide tricks on posture, facial expression, walk and more.
This workshop will be facilitated by Ophilia Allyne and Kaitlyn Wuebbolt
Ophilia Alleyne is a Model Mentor, Plus Size Model and Motivational Speaker from Toronto Canada. As the past Artistic Director for Toronto Plus Size Fashion Show, Ophilia has an impressive repertoire of television,runway, print features and awards. As The Body Confidence Canada Award Winner, Ophilia has also graced the catwalk at Canada's very own Curvy Expo, Caribbean Fashion Plus Week(CFPW), The Marilyn Denis Show, Cityline, Rogers Daytime Television and Today's Shopping Choice formerly known as The Shopping Channel.
Ophilia looks forward to imparting her knowledge to advance the career of those passionate about modeling.
Kaitlyn Wuebbolt is well experienced model, winner of Miss Photogenic in the Miss Plus Canada beauty pageant. She worked with local boutiques Your Big Sister's Closet and Sexy Plus. She has worked with brands such as Dove, Reitman’s, Joe Fresh, Daniel Wellington, Lesley Hampton, Unique Vintage, Sunset Grill, Go Hide Seek, American Apparel, We.Over.Me, Fashion Nova, and POP Fit.
In 2015 she became the Face of Canada for the PanAm Games. She walked for Full Figured Fashion Week in New York City in 2015 and 2017, in Montreal Plus Fashion Week in 2016, for the Toronto Plus Size Fashion Show in 2017 and 2018, for Lesley Hampton in 2019, and in various other shows in Toronto and the GTA.
She has also modelled on television, appearing on Cityline, on Breakfast Television, and on The Marilyn Dennis Show.
